🎨Dying eggs with red cabbage and beetroot🥚

I died hard boiled eggs using red cabbage and beetroot first we chopped them then we boiled them and water to make natural dyes. the cabbage made a blue colour and the beetroot made a pinky red colour

Then we put the eggs into coloured water. we also added some elastic bands on the eggs for strips. we also added some vinegar to help the colour stick.

It was fun sing how each egg turned out differently. my favourite part was the surprise of the Colours!

what colour would you want to make?

Easters nests

I made mini Easter egg nests using food, and it was really fun to make. Since they were Easter nests, I decided to make them for my family so we could all enjoy them together. I liked making them because they looked really cute and it felt nice to make something special for everyone. First I put the food together to make little nests, and then I added the mini Easter eggs on top so they looked like real nests. It was a fun activity and I was excited to share them with my family at Easter. They were small, sweet, and perfect for everyone to enjoy. recipe here

Have you ever made something fun like this for your family before?

comments comments comments

For this task I had to find three different people’s blog posts and read what they wrote. After looking at their blogs, I needed to leave a comment on each one. The comments had to be true and about something I actually noticed in their blog posts, like something interesting they wrote or something I liked about their work. This helped me think more about what other people wrote and share my thoughts in a kind and honest way.

worlds best autumn learning journey

I wanted to make a sun because where I live we are going into winter and it feels like we are losing the sun. The days get colder and darker, so I thought it would be nice to make my own sun so we can have a warm and happy winter. The way I made it was by collecting lots of leaves and putting them into a circle shape on the ground so it looked like the middle of the sun. Then I found some sticks and placed them all around the outside of the circle like the sun’s rays. I thought it looked really cool and it reminded me of a bright sunny day even though it’s getting colder outside.

what would you make if you could pick anything?

The words never end in autumn

I had to write something where I mostly used the word autumn and made as many other words as I could from it. At first I thought it would be really hard, but then it actually became kind of fun. I kept looking at the letters in the word autumn and tried to see what smaller words I could make, like tan, mat, man, nut, and ant. It felt a bit like solving a puzzle because I had to keep rearranging the letters in my head. Sometimes I would think I found a word and then realise I didn’t have the right letters, which was a little annoying, but I just kept trying again. I also thought about autumn itself, like the cool weather, crunchy leaves on the ground, and the trees turning orange and red, which helped me think of more ideas while I was writing. In the end I actually made a lot more words than I expected, and it made me realise that one simple word like autumn can turn into lots of other little words if you look at it carefully. I think it was a fun challenge and it made me think a lot about letters and words in a different way. my work

how many do you think you can do?

lily the leafs diary

Hi, it’s me—the best leaf ever! 🍂 So, this one random Friday, I got picked on, along with all my friends and some other leaves too. I was like, “wait, why me??” 😳 Then this girl, Elisa, came along and did something super weird—she made all of us into an egg shape! I was sooo confused at first, like, “what is happening??” 😂 But then it got even crazier—she grabbed her hose, didn’t even turn the water on, and just carefully placed it on us. And somehow… it made the coolest egg shape ever! 🌟 I still can’t believe it worked… it was like magic! Sooo, if you were a leaf.

would you let someone turn you into an egg shape too?

🍂outside leaves person 🍂

For the autumn learning journey I did a person made of leaves stones (from my house)  and twigs. Leafy is a person made completely out of leaves.  She has really cool superpowers that come from autumn. She can control falling leaves and make them swirl around like a windy autumn day, and she can also make leaves grow super fast to help protect people or build things. Sometimes she can even turn into a pile of leaves and float through the air! But Leafy does have a weakness. Because her powers come from autumn, really strong autumn storms with heavy rain and wind can make her leaves fall apart and make her weaker. If you want to see what Leafy looks like, make sure to take a look at my photos!🍂

What do you think—if you met a person made of leaves like Leafy, what autumn power would you want her to have?
